Air-powered Spray Guns

Cleaning, Air Blow Guns, And Inflators

Low pressure or internal mix spray gun:
The low-pressure spray gun puts pressure on the liquid and pushes the liquid into the air stream. The liquid and compressed air mixes inside the nozzle and blows through the nozzle under pressure. This gun is also called an internal mixed spray gun. An advantage of this gun, if left standing for a while and the thick paint settles at the bottom of the pot, you can jump in with a stirrer and remix the paint. A disadvantage is that the work goes slow and you must clean the nozzle regularly. You can also blow the bottom of the paint pot if you apply too high pressure on the gun.
High pressure suction and gravity feed spray guns:
The high-pressure spray gun or suction feed gun blows the compressed air through a venturi. The venturi sucks the liquid up. the liquid and compressed air mix in front of the nozzle. This gun is also called an external mix spray gun. To get enough suction on the venturi to suck the paint up to the nozzle, you use higher pressure. This may cause more overspray and dust. This is why there is a gravity feed spray gun. It works exactly the same as the high-pressure gun, but the liquid is in a pot on top of the gun and the liquid flows into the nozzle with gravity.
With this gun, you can spray at very low pressures and with very little overspray and dust. The disadvantages of this gun are, you need a special stand to put it down and if you leave the gun too long, the thick paint drops to the bottom into the nozzle. You must clean the gun before you can spray again. You cannot use this gun to spray upside down. The advantage of the suction feed gun is if you leave it standing for a while and the thick paint settles at the bottom of the pot, you can jump in with a stirrer and remix the paint.
Refrigerated Dryers
Refrigerated air dryers from 750 liters/min up to 17000 liter/min ex-stock. Larger ex overseas. Dew point 4°C under pressure. Automatic drain pre and manual drain after filters.
Screw Compressors
Screw compressors have no valves or other mechanical forces to cause imbalances unlike piston compressors.
Compressor Components
Airpower keeps universal spare parts for compressors. Pressure switches, non return valves and safety valves are universal to all compressors. Bottom entry filters/ regulators, electric motors and starters can be used for many makes of compressors.
