Three phase NE-MA pressure switch. Range adjustable cut out pressure of 6 to 12 bar. Differential pressure 2 bar. Cut in range 4 to 10 bar.
It is suitable to be used on three phase air compressors up to 7.5 kW (10hp.) Airpower recommend not to use it on larger than 5.5kW (7.5hp.) compressors.
You must select the correct overload for your compressor. The overload must be set at the full load Amps of the motor.
The pressure switch has a mechanical valve, to release the compressed air between the compressor pistons and the non-return valve, when it switch off. This allows the unit to restart without any back pressure.
When the switch release the air continuous, after it switched off, it is the non-return valve not sealing the air from the tank and the problem is with the non-return valve seat.
What is a compressor pressure switch?
A compressor pressure switch is a safety device that monitors the operation of an air compressor. It is designed to protect the compressor from overheating and damaging itself in case it malfunctions. The sensor on this device is what tells the indoor blower motor when to turn off and on based upon monitoring changes in pressure; if the pressure rises too high, or drops too low, then the sensor sends a signal to cut power to the motor.
