1/2" Idle running Governor no42
1/2” BSP Idle running Governor or Load Genie. This unit will be able to handle 900 liter/min (32 cfm) compressed air. Pressure settings from 6 to 12 bar.
If you have a continuous running air compressor, without valve lifters, you use an Idle running Governor to off load the access compressed air, when the air receiver tank reached the set pressure.
You use a continuous running compressor, when you have a petrol or diesel unit or you do not have enough power to restart an electric unit under load.
What is an Idle running Governor?
The Idle running Governor is connected to the air receiver and will start and shut off the compressor when it reached a certain pressure.
The Idle running Governor has two valves, one on the inlet and one on the outlet of the compressor, if they are facing each other, means that they open on the same pressure.
When you start your unit, you must wait until both valves had opened before starting up your electric motor/compressor.
If you had started up too soon there is a chance that the outlet valve will close first while the inlet valve is still open and then trying to start up an already running motor can damage your equipment or even be dangerous for people working around them.
Refrigerated air dryers from 750 liters/min up to 6500 liter/min ex-stock. Larger ex overseas. Dew point 4°C under pressure. Automatic drain pre and manual drain after filters.
Screw compressors have no valves or other mechanical forces to cause imbalances unlike piston compressors.
Airpower keeps universal spare parts for compressors. Pressure switches, non return valves and safety valves are universal to all compressors. Bottom entry filters/ regulators, electric motors and starters can be used for many makes of compressors.
